Our Story

he mission of Flat Iron is to create an exceptional quality Steak experience at reasonable prices so that literally everyone can join us at our humble restaurant and enjoy an amazing meal.

We primarily offer the Flat Iron cut which comes from the Shoulder Top Blade of the cow, by using some pretty cunning butchering techniques we are able to extract a juicy, tender and flavorsome piece of prime steak that rivals any ribeye or tenderloin.

Our chefs take that awesome piece of beef and grills it in a very hot wood fired oven which gives it smokey flavour and gently charred texture, choose an expertly crafted sauce or side dish to accompany your steak if you feel that way inclined!

Luca Luise our wine partner has curated a modest list of interesting and great value wines so that you can enjoy a glass or two with your steak and not feel like you need a bank loan to pay for it. We work exclusively with small scale farms, namely

Margaret River Wagyu and Scott Angus from Australia, both offer full traceability, humane farming methods, plus are Halal certified.
